- Close windows and doors, and bring pets inside until everything is rinsed and dry.
- Move cars off the driveway, and move patio furniture, grills and potted plants away from the walls.
- Make sure an outside spigot works, and tell us where it is.
- Point out anything delicate: outdoor outlets and lights, loose siding or trim, peeling paint, a known leak.
